Horsea Lake - 15th January 2005

Sadly it was not a beautiful morning at Horsea and the sun was not glinting off the water, in fact the sun was not to be seen at all. Reflective of the mood were six not quite so fresh faced trainees with one thing on their mind, which turned out not to be diving but food! Upon arrival of a bleary eyed Rich, who still stank of Scandals, he realised that John had not arrived. One phone call later and John was out of bed and on his way. Luke on the other had claimed illness and couldn’t make it!
Unsurprisingly the training dives were eventful, as they always seem to be. Someone had to bin his dive because of a cold preventing him from clearing his ears and Ant had trouble retaining her equipment. Another member of the club has also joined the long list of people who have complaints with dry suits and to top it off Chris suffered a nose bleed. However to cheer things up for Stu and myself we immediately spotted the new girl working in the dive shop. At the first sign of her Stu sprouted his infamous fin and began shamelessly sharking.
We managed to end the day on a high though as everyone found it highly amusing when Stu and myself whilst trying to find the boat ended up in the far corner and then swam along the far wall, before surfacing and having to swim back across the lake in a piece of world class navigation.
