Every so
often we go dive something different. Something we've not done
before. Previous examples have been,

I now have a new idea... to go and dive in Belgium!
It's not quite as bad as it sounds... Brussels is home to Nemo 33 which is the deepest swimming pool in the world at -33m deep. This is five metres deeper than the SETT.

The plan:
On the weekend of 16/17 December...
Saturday leave Portsmouth 07:00,
drive to Brussels (via the tunnel),
dive Nemo33 16:00 for an hour.
"Decompress" in (or near) Brussels Saturday night.
Stay in a hotel.
Sunday; leave 11:00
arrive back in Portsmouth 17:00.
If anyone would rather fly that's fine but you sort out your own journey. We'll see you there.
There is no need to take cylinders etc; they are all supplied. Indeed they are very touchy about what goes in the pool; we must use their cyl/stab/reg. You will need:
Towel/ cozzy/ mask/ fins/ snorkel/ computer/ QUALIFICATIONS You need to be minimum SD and capable of diving to 33m. Luuuke's decision on whether someone is capable of doing this dive is final. Come to that, my decision is final, too :-p
Qualifications WILL be checked by the Nemo33 people so must be brought.
No rebreathers are allowed in the pool so it's bubble-blowing only I'm afraid.
Estimated cost... depends on how many in a car.
2 up: £150
3 up: £120
4 up: £110
(we're taking minimal kit so this is possible) Food and beer will be on top of this. They like their beer in Belgium. Cost is based upon a car doing 30mpg, and two people sharing a room in the hotel. It includes fuel, tunnel, hotel and one dive in Nemo 33.
Small children may be brought on the trip but will NOT be allowed in the Nemo33 centre. Not even to spectate. Sorry; their rule.
If you want in on this mad trip then please let me know off-list. I will want a £50 deposit off you immediately. No deposit; no go. It's as easy as that.
